My name is Caron; I’m a self-taught tattoo artist and I’ve been involved with art my entire life, in one way or the other. I love drawing and tattooing floral and botanical designs because I enjoy plants, flowers and the outdoors so much. Whether it be container gardening, starting plants from collected seeds or hydroponics, which is growing plants in water; plants and flowers bring me joy, and they always have. I also love animals, wildlife, and birds; I have for as long as I can remember. If you take a look at my Instagram, you’ll see some of my animals.
I earned a B.S. in Communication from Lamar University and a Masters in Education from McNeese State University. I worked as a certified secondary reading/English teacher for many years, actually until the pandemic. I think a lot of people made career changes during that time, including myself. lol! During 2020, I started tattooing and I transitioned my freelance writing business from part-time, to full-time. There are many things that I miss about teaching, but a lot of things I do not miss at all. If you’re a teacher reading this, you know exactly what I’m talking about. lol!
Lastly, I’m proud to say that I’ve just finished writing and illustrating a young adult animal mystery novel. I’m in the final stages of editing.
